As one of the core components of high pressure accelerator, the design of accelerator tube determines whether the accelerator can work normally. The insulation ring of Z-300 accelerator tube is divided into nine grades, and the material of the insulation ring is 99 ceramic ring. The design of the accelerator tube fully considers the four secondary electron suppression, insulation strength, beam optical design, leakage current of the accelerator tube and vacuum requirements. A removable beam limiting diaphragm is installed at the inlet of the accelerating tube to remove stray ions that are too far from the beam axis in the extracted beam. The aperture size of the diaphragm is selected as required. The accelerating tube equalizes the voltage through a voltage divider. The picture shows the three-dimensional diagram of Z – 300 accelerator tube, which is 732mm long and 360mm in diameter. The accelerating tube is detachable, and each insulation ring and grading ring are connected together by screws. The maximum no-load withstand voltage of the accelerating tube is 320kV, and the maximum ion beam of 10mA can be drawn.
